Get free car pickup from goodwill

How to send your free goodwill donation
Did you get rid of the Amazon boxes, or any other box, that all those holiday gifts came in? If not, there is a smart and convenient way to put them to good use that will benefit you, those in need, and the environment. Fill in the boxes with Free donations pickups for Goodwill and let UPS or USPS deliver them for free. You will even get a tax write-off.

The Amazon Takeback Box program has been going for a while, but has somehow stayed under the radar. This holiday season, it's getting well-deserved attention.

How Amazon Give Back Box Works
After you empty your box, you can fill it with clothing and household items to donate to Goodwill. You can use any box, not just one that comes from Amazon. The program does NOT accept electronic, liquid, fragile, dangerous volatile items, including ammunition.
close the box securely and print a free shipping label . Stick the label to the box.
Take the box to a UPS or USPS location to drop off or schedule a free pickup.
Free shipping is great, of course, but free pickup is what makes this program so easy; there is no reason not to. I have three goodwill donation locations near me and a car, but for some people, taking items to donate can be difficult or impossible.

How to get tax cancellation
These donations are tax deductible, but there are steps you need to take to ensure that you can claim it on your taxes.

Create an account with Give Back Box.
Use the tracking number you get when you create your label and itemize donations online.
Once your donation has been accepted and processed, you will be notified by email and will receive a receipt.
I'm not sure if a donation made in the next week will count toward your 2016 taxes if the receipt is not dated until 2017. Since we're so close to the end of the year, if you'd like to make sure your donations count for this tax year, take them in. person and get a 2016 receipt. That's what I'll do, but next year, I'll definitely use the Give Back Box program year-round to send in donations instead of leaving them piling up for a big tour at the end of the year.
